About PBS Payload
Everything you need to decide.
The console side of PBS
PBS Payload runs on the console and does the capture: it encodes H.264, serves the stream over HTTP, packetizes RTP for the desktop client and hosts a small browser viewer. PBS Studio on the desktop connects to the same endpoints.
What it does
The PS5 build captures 720p, 1080p and 1440p at 60 fps with stereo 48 kHz audio. The PS4 build targets firmware 11.00 with the validated 720p60 worker backend; PS4 audio is disabled. Both expose an unauthenticated local-network HTTP service, so use them on a trusted LAN only.
Which file to load
PBS-Payload-<version>-ps5.elf is the PS5 payload. PBS-Payload-<version>-ps4.elf is the PS4 11.00 worker stream build. No arguments start the stream on port 9999; the viewer opens at http://<console-ip>:9999/ and streaming stops from the same page.
Licensing
The payload is GPL-3.0-or-later and free. The separately licensed desktop client is a different product in this store. Nothing here includes a jailbreak, console keys, firmware or SDK binaries.
